Advertisers and users are solely responsible for ensuring that all advertising content, including text, images, graphics, and videos (“Content”) uploaded to riyasala.lk complies with all applicable laws and regulations. Riyasala.lk and Riyasala.lk (Private) Limited assume no responsibility or liability for the legality, accuracy, or validity of such Content.
Advertisers and users warrant that their Content does not infringe upon any copyright, intellectual property rights, or other rights of any third party. They agree to indemnify and hold harmless riyasala.lk and Riyasala.lk (Private) Limited from any claims, liabilities, losses, or damages arising from the use or inability to use the Service.
For the avoidance of doubt, riyasala.lk acts solely as a platform/service provider and is not involved in the actual sale or purchase of vehicles between users. Riyasala.lk does not guarantee, represent, endorse, or verify the accuracy, reliability, ownership, or completeness of any vehicle information provided by advertisers.
Riyasala.lk reserves the right to remove any content deemed inappropriate, including but not limited to spam, duplicate advertisements, misleading or suspicious listings, non-motor vehicle advertisements, vehicles not available in Sri Lanka, and Japanese auction advertisements, without prior notice. If an advertisement for a vehicle located outside Sri Lanka is removed, the user will be contacted once and informed of the option to reinstate the advertisement by paying the applicable fee. Repeated violations may result in permanent removal without further notice.
Riyasala.lk reserves the right to request additional documentation or information related to any posted content. Failure to comply may result in removal of the advertisement from the website.
Riyasala.lk and Riyasala.lk (Private) Limited reserve the right to edit, modify, or adjust advertisements for editorial or formatting purposes.
Users who advertise a lease price as the primary price will receive a warning. Repeated violations may result in the user’s phone number being blocked. To request unblocking, users must notify the Hotline via SMS or email.
Users are strictly prohibited from posting the same advertisement multiple times within a single day. Duplicate or repeated postings may result in removal of the advertisement or suspension of the account without prior notice. Users wishing to increase visibility should use the Bump Up feature provided on the platform.
Copyright
Advertisers grant riyasala.lk and Riyasala.lk (Private) Limited a perpetual, royalty-free, irrevocable, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, and distribute submitted content in any form, media, or technology now known or developed in the future.
All materials available on riyasala.lk, including content, software, and services, are the property of Riyasala.lk (Private) Limited, its affiliates, or third-party licensors. All intellectual property rights, including trademarks, service marks, logos, and brand names, are protected. No content may be copied, reproduced, republished, transmitted, stored, or distributed without prior written permission from Riyasala.lk (Private) Limited.
Watermarks
All images displayed on riyasala.lk are watermarked to prevent unauthorized use without the consent of the original advertiser.
Feature Availability
Certain features available on the riyasala.lk website may not be accessible on mobile applications (iOS and Android). Riyasala.lk reserves the right to modify, add, or remove features in mobile versions without prior notice. Users acknowledge that mobile app functionality may differ from the website experience.
Users must provide a valid email address and phone number. Accounts with invalid or unverifiable phone numbers may be removed without prior notice.
License Plate Verification
Users may request a license plate verification badge by submitting a clear image of the vehicle showing the license plate and the vehicle registration book. Riyasala.lk (Private) Limited reserves the right to approve or reject verification requests at its sole discretion.
The license plate verification badge only indicates that the registration details provided by the advertiser match the documents submitted. It does not guarantee the condition of the vehicle, ownership authenticity, or the accuracy of images or documents.
Refund Policy for Paid Listings & Packages
All payments made to riyasala.lk for enhanced advertisements, featured listings, promotional packages, add-on services, or any other paid features (“Paid Services”) are non-refundable once the service has been activated, published, or made available to the user.
By purchasing a Paid Service, the user acknowledges and agrees that:
1. No Refund for Change of Mind
Refunds will not be provided for:
• User error, including incorrect content, wrong category selection, or accidental purchases
• Change of mind after purchase
• Failure to receive enquiries, sales, or expected results
• Early removal or expiration of an advertisement initiated by the user.
2. Content Removal or Suspension
If an advertisement or user account is removed, suspended, or restricted due to a violation of these Terms and Conditions, misuse of the platform, suspected fraud, misleading content, or legal non-compliance, no refund will be issued, regardless of any remaining promotional time or unused features.
3. Technical Issues
In the event of a proven technical failure caused solely by riyasala.lk that prevents the activation or display of a Paid Service, the company may, at its sole discretion:
• Re-activate the service for the remaining period, or
• Provide a partial credit for future use.
No cash refunds will be provided under any circumstances.
4. Service Modifications
Riyasala.lk reserves the right to modify, replace, or discontinue any Paid Service, package structure, pricing, or feature availability at any time. Such changes do not entitle users to a refund for previously purchased services.
5. Third-Party Payment Fees
Any transaction or processing fees charged by payment gateways, banks, or third-party providers are non-refundable and will not be reimbursed under any circumstances.
6. Acknowledgment
By completing a payment on riyasala.lk, the user confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Refund Policy and waive any right to dispute or reverse the transaction, except as required by applicable Sri Lankan law.
Disclaimer
Riyasala.lk and Riyasala.lk (Private) Limited disclaim all liability for any injury, loss, claim, or damage arising from the use of riyasala.lk, its content, technical or typographical errors, third-party links, website unavailability, or the use of any equipment or software connected to the platform. Use of the website is entirely at the user’s own risk.
Indemnity
Advertisers and users agree to indemnify and hold harmless riyasala.lk, Riyasala.lk (Private) Limited, and its directors, officers, employees, agents, and representatives from any losses, damages, claims, or expenses, including legal fees, arising from a breach of these Terms and Conditions or misuse of the Service.
Modifications
Riyasala.lk reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Such changes take effect immediately upon posting on the website. Continued use of riyasala.lk constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms and Conditions.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka, and all disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
Termination
If a user or advertiser is dissatisfied with the Service or disagrees with any part of these Terms and Conditions, the sole and exclusive remedy is to discontinue use of riyasala.lk
